Beautifully hand-crafted **Relievo** is a large dome pendant light in antique brass made with highly skilled technique by the award winning talented craftsmen and artisans from India, raised in relief, as a design on a piece of pure brass hammered through from the underside! This unique skill and work shouldn’t be amiss by these highly talented Artisans and Craftsmen of INDIA, awarded by the Government of India. More than ten months of planning, research, finding right people with right skills, getting the designs right and the fine craftsmenship is what goes behind creating a master piece like the Relievo!!

Inspired by the national bird of India – Peacock. We wanted the beautiful feathers of peacock carved on the piece of pure brass with colours added by stonework translating into the light.
Relievo is a dome pendant light – 20 inches in dia and 9 inches in height in antique pure brass made with highly skilled technique, hammered into relief from the reverse side.
This is the labour of love of National Award winning artisans and craftsmen from the rural villages of India, awarded by the prime minister of India. Our two decades of experience and their hard work is the result of this extraordinary work. The work what you see on the dome is done widely on textiles and Indian traditional crafts.
Manufacturing Process – First and foremost, manufacturing starts with Pitch Backing – Firstly the filling material is made by melting and solidifying three materials viz., Surkhi mortar, Broza chemical and Kerosene. This is then further solidified to make the support from inside of the dome to start the chasing work from the outside. Followed by hand-crafting on the piece of pure brass material with precision and high accuracy by a tool called liner. Once the carving is finished, it goes for matte and antique brass finish to get the carved piece out. Post this the coloured stonework is done from the outside to add colours to the dome. Light is then placed on a piece of another small dome 5 inches in dia and then attached with the dome. Indirect lighting on the dome from the inside helps to show the carving made out of relief from inside too. Application areas of the product being indoors and semi-covered outdoor spaces. Light Source – 15 watts LED, CCT – 3000K, CRI – 90
Inspired by the Beast mode that refers to a state of performing something, especially difficult activities, with extreme power, skill, or determination. As the name suggests, this is conceptualised, designed and manufactured with extreme power, skill and determination like a Beast, whereby the stones and light create a brilliant juxtaposition of light and colours put together. Every stone has a different colour, texture and light effect.

The Beast is a 7 feet long linear light made with semi precious stones put together like an Aureola that refers to circles of light or brightness surrounding something, especially as depicted in art. When the two arched frames are placed opposite to each other they look like a flower petal and when the frames are placed side by side they form an S-shape with a length of 14 feet put together. 26 number stones are mounted on branches projecting in a linear format on these two arched frames giving an illusion of different colours from different viewing angles.
The BEAST is not just a light. It behaves like a piece of art in the day time while a beautiful chandelier in the evening, giving an illusion of different colours as well as textures from different viewing angles.
It turns out to be an art piece, well appreciated in the day time, bringing joy to the eyes in the night time environment. It’s very exciting as well as challenging to do an installation like the BEAST, due to it’s scale and size, handling semi-precious stones.

Manufactured at Da Light Hub Bespoke from scratch with metal casting to shades to screws to the final end product, all made under one roof by our hard working skilled team in record time for an ITC hotel.
The biggest challenge here was to work with the most delicate material – Fabric, that too pure white fabric, specially when you talk about handling, managing and manufacturing products using this extremely fragile material at a scale. After seeing the end product, it’s difficult to figure out whether it’s Fabric or a white thin sheet material used in these hand-made custom built luminaries. This is where precision, flexibility and accuracy play an important role, what we constantly thrive for, at Da Light Hub Bespoke in our designs and manufacturing!
